A Weekend Getaway at Falaza Game Park and Spa

Situated about 12km outside the village of Hluhluwe in the Kwazulu Natal Province, you will find Falaza Game Park & Spa. The Lodge is not far from the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve making this an ideal getaway for big 5 game viewing while also being able to enjoy relaxing spa treatments and a stay in luxury tented accommodation. If you would like to add a little beach break to your getaway you only need to drive an hour and a half to visit the beautiful white sandy beaches of St. Lucia. If diving is your thing you can head up the coast to Sodwana Bay which is popular for its diving activities.

To sum up it up Falaza is a luxurious getaway in the bush with all sorts of activities and possibilities apart from just the usual game drives associated with bush Lodges.

The Lodge is in a lush green setting and has a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere. Nyalas graze on the property and playful monkeys climbing trees and tents provide lots of entertainment. Add to that the waterhole by the swimming pool where buffalo and others come to drink and your African bush television is complete!

The tents have a rustic décor inside and are kitted with all the appliances you may need. The beds are very comfortable and the private outside bathroom at the back of the tent allows you to gaze at the moon and the stars while having a hot bubble bath or a shower.

Breakfast had plenty to offer from cereal to freshly baked muffins and croissants as well as a whole menu of personally cooked and fried choices of eggs, bacon and the likes.

The dinner buffet again offered a wide array of choices such as fresh sushi, plenty of salads, vegetables and everything from roast beef, gammon to chicken and seafood while enjoying your meal by candle light and cozy fire under the romantic African sky. The gin and whiskey tasting before dinner was a nice additional treat.

The staff is always ready to assist with a smile on their face and our ranger gave us a fantastic and knowledgeable tour of the hluhluwe game reserve.

All in all a truly memorable experience and fantastic opportunity for a quick weekend Getaway or a great addition to your planned tour!

I went to Falza last year and it was fantastic. Loved the venue and the food was amazing too.
